Boreal Dharma

© Boreal

Ever since sticky rubber was first used on the Fire rock boot, Boreal has been at the forefront of innovation. The latest proof of this is the Dharma, a shoe designed for steep sport routes and bouldering.

The shoe features a “wrap rand” which removes dead space under the foot, a 3D moulded heel of super-sticky Zenith rubber, extended toe rubber over the top of the shoe and triple Velcro closure.

The sole is made of Zenith rubber, which took many years of research and field testing to develop. The result is the stickiest rubber on the market so far, with the perfect mix of edging, durability and a remarkable ability to maintain its performance at different temperatures.

Dharma has been a firm favourite among several members of the team including James Machaffie, Ryan Pasquill, Jordan Buys and Dani Andrada.

whats the route in the photo? looks amazing
I'll see if I can find out for you, not a bad looking feature is it?!
Here we go, the route is La Canaleta (7b+). My initial worry was that it was going to be 8c+ or something similarly unachievable, but as events transpire it is a 'mere' 7c so I live in hope!
