Climbers looking for performance rock shoes with a close, low-volume fit and an attractive price tag will be interested in the latest offering from Edelrid.
Sigwa, which roughly translated into English means 'Tempest' offers top-class edging stability and precision in line with Edelrid's top-end Raven shoe. This has been made possible through the development of a new precision last, suitable for lower volume feet.
This new last accompanies an aggressive, downturned shape which allows for easy load transmission on the tiniest of holds , with a high tension heel cup for seamless heel hooking. The upper construction on the Sigwa is a combination of natural leather with a synthetic Lorica toe box, designed to offer a good balance of comfort and form retention.
The Sigwa also utilises Edelrid's own proprietary E-Grip rubber compound for its 4mm sole unit. This specially developed compound offers, as the name would suggest, outstanding grip and durability across a variety of rock types.
The Sigwa is available now from select UK retailers.
