Goods In Inspector - DMM, Recruitment Premier Post, 1 weeks @ GBP 75pw The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to advance their career in Goods In. We are looking for a first class Goods In Inspector to ensure that items meet the specifications demanded by the company. It is essential that you are self-motivated with a positive and proactive approach, the ability of problem solving and working under pressure.

Key Tasks:

  • In conjunction with QAP38 Goods Inwards Inspection procedure, and ISO9001:2008. Receive and inspect 'A' rated supplies from those suppliers providing these materials. Inspection of 'A' rated supplies to be as per the Inspection Checklist for each item.
  • Receive and distribute non-'A' rated supplies to the relevant user department
  • Ensure traceability is maintained at all times
  • Review & update Goods Inwards Inspection checklists as required
  • Ability to communicate internally and with suppliers in the event of problems
  • All duties must be carried out in accordance with company policies, standards, procedures and priority instructions. Confidentiality pertaining to specific company procedures should be respected
  • Appropriate Health and Safety precautions and procedures must be applied at all times
  • Provide periodic report in relation to Goods Inwards findings (Pass/Fail, issues)
  • Any other duties required


Essential to your success in the role will be the ability to demonstrate:

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering/quality control/goods inwards inspection
  • Experience or knowledge of working in an ISO 9001 environment
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings
  • Essential to use various metrological & electronic measuring equipment (gauges, micrometers, verniers, Faro arm, etc)
  • Current fork lift licence (LPG powered)
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail producing consistently high quality work
  • An Engineering or product design degree - A year’s relevant industry experience would be of added benefit
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team


Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
