Tried & Tested - Harnesses: Jay & Jayne Gear News

© Edelrid

Since they were launched a couple of years ago, the Jay II and Jayne II have remained amongst the most popular harnesses that EDELRID produce. Combining ergonomic design and adjustable padding they're well suited to comfortable all-day climbing, whatever your chosen discipline.

Jay II (RRP: £60)

The Jay II is the perfect all-rounder, with adjustable leg loops, for all types of climbing. Features include: 3D mesh padding for optimal support and comfort; three Easy Glider buckles for easy and secure fitting; moveable foam waist padding that allows the tie-in point and the four fixed gear loops to be centred and aligned; an abrasion protector at the tie-in point; as well as four asymmetric gear loops, two ice screw clip attachments and a chalk bag loop.

Jayne II (RRP: £60)

The Jayne II includes all of the same practical and comfortable features as the men's equivalent but with one crucial difference. It is designed with a longer rise and a smaller waist belt, ensuring that it provides a better fit for the female body.

If you're interested in learning more about how they perform in use then why not read Mark Glaister's UKClimbing review from 2015, when both harnesses were put through their paces for a thorough evaluation.
