Millet, the favourite mountaineering brand of the Chamonix Mountain Guides will be launching a new alpine collection at Outside in Hathersage this year.  

The Trilogy Limited Series™  is inspired by Eric Escoffier’s winter mountaineering feat in 1987; completing the trilogy of the Eiger, the Matterhorn and the Grandes Jorasses. For his attempt, he radically redefined the style and functionality of protective clothing by devising the first technical mountaineering suit - and he also shook up traditional mountain colour schemes with a classic 80s fluoro Tricolore!

The latest Millet Trilogy collection is designed to take everything an alpine winter can throw at it with ease and combines function and performance with seriously eyecatching Gallic style - and the old skool Millet logo.

Millet Launch Event
 

The official launch event will be held at Outside Hathersage on Saturday 18th October and will include the premiere of their movie “Beyond Good and Evil” plus a talk from legendary alpinist and artist Andy Parkin. 

Outside, Millet and Trek & Mountain magazine will also be offering plenty of goodies and prize draws throughout the day and of course, supplying a generous helping of Savoie cheese and wine in the evening!  

The winner of the grand prize will be going home with a Millet Trilogy Pro Gore Tex jacket (worth £465) and two runners up will win Prolighter 25 back packs.

We'll also be supported by Trek and Mountain magazine who'll be offering two free annual subscriptions in the prize draw.

Tickets for the launch are on sale online and instore: all proceeds will be donated to Edale Mountain Rescue.
