The 6001 GTX is a really impressive boot. Built to the highest standards and featuring a Gore-Tex lining on both the gaiter and the inner boot. Having the Gore-Tex membrane in the gaiter is really advantageous as it provides a first line of defense against moisture and protects against the uppers from becoming saturated. Nice to see Kayland in the UK. In Finland _the_ climbing shop sold them so loads of mates climbed in them. I've spent lots of time looking up icefalls at the soles of Kayland boots through the crampon frames. Seem like good boots.

The apex plus looks remarkably like the Scarpa Rebel Pro bar the square front foot shape. Anyone know if Scarpa and La Sportiva hold some form of exclusive rights to the narrow front of foot Vibram soles? It seems like all boots would benefit from it but they're the only ones doing it.
