You are hanging around on the wrong street. Take a look at the rounded sole and compare it to the flat sole of the the Blanco's. How is that an improvement for micro-edges. The Whites are still the weapon of choice for the discerning at Raven Tor, Malham and also Slate (apparently). It disgusts me still that five ten withdrew them without an equivalent or superior replacement.

Five Ten could be a case of history repeating itself. Late 1980's. The green Asolo Runout was the footwear of choice for high standard climbing. Asolo changed to the Orange Runouts without any overlap with Green. So have we been here before? Off the top of my head, the top dog rockboot manufacturer over the years was EB then Boreal Asolo Five Ten, who's next?

I'm just happy the Quantum also came back.

I think it is a deliberate move by Five Ten/Adidas rather than an accidental one. The White is a specialist boot highly valued by a small but very committed segment of the climbing community. They want world sellers and the Whites don't fit their marketing plan. Obviously this is my speculative opinion, not fact.... but I'm rarely wrong ;-).

You are probably correct. FWIW I reckon the UK market will be dominated by Sportiva Scarpa Ocun or a resurgent Boreal over the next few years. and I am often wrong:-)
