"A lighter rope for those who are pushing their grade on routes where every gram counts. [...] Weight: 70g/m" Huh? Even the 10.5mm Beal Top Gun and Mammut Flash are slightly lighter, and if every gram really counts, then there is the Mammut Serenety at 52g/m... What's the policy of UKC these gear news items - they look like adverts to me? Cheers, Michel

They are to allow companies to keep UKClimbing readers informed about their new products. A bit like the Gear sections of the magazines which rarely actually offer any opinions. They will obviously appear as adverts to an extent, but we don't portray them as anything else really. This feature of the site should become a really useful resource as it builds up and we can add extra features to it. Alan
