Blue Ice was founded in Chamonix, 2008 to make high-quality mountaineering equipment. Their creative energy, engineering know-how and passion for climbing means they are able to apply the most direct and simple solutions to product development in a minimalist way.
The Warthog 26 litre backpack is small, light and simple. It is designed for fast and demanding one day ascents in high alpine. The Warthog is a light (720g), extremely durable (500/1000 denier cordura) backpack with all the essential accessories you need and nothing more. This is the ideal pack for light and fast one day climbs on technical routes: it is compact to allow freedom of movement and it is super durable for the most demanding conditions.
As with the larger Blue Ice packs the Warthog can hold two ice axes. The simple system of webbing loops and cord locks allows for quick attachment and a firm hold. Additional features include rope holder, helmet holder, exit for hydration tube and a removeable hip belt.
The additional attachment features allow for a carrying capacity far beyond the stated 26 litre pack size as you approach, whilst allowing the pack to be stripped to a minimal size whilst on route.
