The Cuillin & Other Skye Mountains
The Cuillin Ridge & 100 select routes for mountain climbers & hillwalkers

The Cuillin Ridge - 15 miles, more than 30 summits (including 11 Munros and 9 Munro Tops), nearly 10,000ft of ascent and rock climbing up to Severe, in a day.

Not many achieve that goal, but The Cuillin & Other Skye Mountains, the first comprehensive guide to Skye's mountains from award-winning Mica Publishing, will dramatically increase your chances of success, whether you plan a one day ascent, or take a bivouac en route.

This ultimate guide describes the Cuillin Ridge in greater detail than ever before, with more than 50 topo-diagrams illuminating the Ridge from end to end, and detailed sections on Approaches & Descents, Bypass & Alternative Routes, Planning, Safety, Tactics, Bivouacs, Equipment and Weather.

Prior knowledge of critical sections on the Ridge can make the difference between success and failure. This guidebook describes all the corrie rounds in the Cuillin and their associated Munros and Munro Tops, some of the best mountain outings in Britain, allowing the visitor to tackle critical sections individually and build up knowledge of the challenge ahead.

Brilliant as it is, most mountain climbers and hillwalkers visiting Skye aren't actually tackling the Ridge, but climbing some of the 12 Munros, 9 Munro Tops, 2 Corbetts, 9 Grahams and 35 sub-2000ft Marilyns on the island. This guidebook describes routes on all of these peaks – a valuable resource for anyone wanting a day on the hill, but constrained by Skye weather!

The guide also describes routes on many 'uncategorised peaks' such as Sgurr na h-Uamha, Sgurr Thuilm and Sgurr Dubh Beag, as well as detailed descriptions and topos for classics such as the Sgurr nan Each – Blabheinn (Clach Glas) Traverse, Pinnacle Ridge on Sgurr nan Gillean, the Dubhs Ridge on Sgurr Dubh Beag and Dun Cana on the Isle of Raasay.
