The New Southern Highlands British Mountain Map

The latest addition to the award-winning British Mountain Map series covers the Southern Highlands of Scotland. The Southern Highlands are easily accessible from the urban areas of central Scotland and further south, and provide a great variety of hill walking and mountaineering. The area covered by the map contains 63 hills over 2,000 feet, including 25 Munros and 23 Corbetts; from Ben Cruachan, Ben Lui, Ben More and Ben Vorlich in the north, to Ben Arthur (The Cobbler) , Ben Venue and the Trossachs in the south.

New Southern Highlands Map Now Available #1, 106 kb

British Mountain Maps are published by Harvey Maps in conjunction with the BMC, and are designed especially for climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers. The 1:40,000 scale maps use contour colour shading for easy identification of hills and valleys, and are printed on polyethylene, making them lightweight, tear-resistant and waterproof. The reverse side of each map contains mountain incident and first aid advice, navigation tips, useful visitor information, and geological information provided by the British Geological Survey.

"I've researched Scottish guidebooks using Harvey maps. They are the clearest, and the most accurate. They don't fall to pieces in the rain and the geology bits are pure bonus"
Ronald Turnbull, author of Walking Loch Lomond and The Trossachs.
