Primus logo Swedish stove specialist Primus has been researching in the field of fuel efficiency for quite some time now. With the introduction of the EtaPower EF stove in spring 2007, Primus accomplished an increase in efficiency from the usual 40 to 50% up to an incredible 80%. That means lower fuel consumption and therefore less environmental impact.

Now Primus has introduced the EtaExpress stove, a small, lightweight and extremely efficient stove – ideal for solo travelers.

This means that the Eta series of stoves is expanding with this smaller more compact stove. The EtaExpress features a stove that mounts directly on the LP gas cartridge, a windscreen for maximum fuel savings and even a 1 litre pot. The lid can also be used as a frying pan. Both the pot and the frying pan are coated on the inside with a three-layer titanium nonstick surface. All of the components, as well as a 230g LP gas cartridge, can be packed into the pot and it comes with a net stuff sack. The SRP is £60.

Also, if you want to use this stove on a bivvy ledge then, like all other Eta stoves, you can hang the EtaExpress using the Primus suspension kit which retails for £18 or to increase stability if using it on a flat(tish) surface then there is a Cartridge Footrest accessory at £5.

Primus is distributed in the UK by Rosker Ltd, www.rosker.co.uk to see the whole Primus range, HERE
