I have visited the Lemon House in april 2011 and 2012 and both weeks have been great, Peter and Anne are very helpful and friendly and the hostel is nice. The only thing I missed was access to a kitchen. But the area has nice restaurants and the food is cheap compared to Sweden. The area around Lotzorai is beutiful and contains a lot of good climbing areas, but you will need a car. Dont worry about the drive to If you arrive at Alghero Aiport, the view is beutiful along the island down to Lotzorai. Make sure to stop along the way to take a look at the old mountain villages and bring a pick nick if you have time. Sardinia is amazing I'm sure that I will come back!

Booking was simple enough, and after a pleasant drive to Lotzorai, the Lemon House was easy to find, thanks to the very clear directions we had been given. It's a lovely big house set in a residential part of the town, well off the tourist track and only a short walk from the beach. The first thing Peter said was "do you want a cup of tea?", and the second was "do you want a bit of cake?" Both gratefully accepted and both delicious -- especially the cake which Anne makes every week. The accommodation is really good -- absolutely spotless everywhere, with hot water and showers always available.Beds comfy and sheets changed regularly -- what more could you want? Well finding your way around for starters. This is where Pete and Anne really excel; a trip to the roof top to orientate us was followed by an overview of the local climbing and walking possibilities.Later, when we 'd decided what to do Peter was happy to make suggestions regarding appropriate crags, and itineries to take account of the sun and our abilities etc.And this was the pattern that followed -- think about our day and discuss with Peter and Anne at breakfast. All necessary maps and guidebooks are available to borrow, so after finishing the strongest coffee I've ever tasted we were off. Although we mainly walked and climbed Peter arranged sea-kayaking for us on one of the days, and helped other guests with their itineries, whilst Anne was happy to help with another guest's birthday celebrations. Altogather a great place to stay, where we were made to feel very welcome, and where we'll be back again soon I hope. Andy & Haza

Me and my brother arrived @ The Lemon House a warm day in April 2011. Peter showed us the viewes from the roof top, pointed out all the climbing places, afterwards, we didn`t remember half of it. The nature is stunning, the climbing is beutiful and a real challange. We also went Kajaking for an afternoon, no people around, beutiful stone beaches and amazing nature. The town is small as in a good way, nice restaurangs with lokal food..... But enogh talking about the surrondings...the real reson we came back 1 year later in 2012 and already booked 2-3 weeks in October is for the frendly faces of Anne and Peter. They really care that we enjoy our stay @ The Lemon House and Sardinia. They are real Sardinian patriots, into the country, the culture, everything there is to know about Sardinian Climbing, MtB, kayaking, walking etc the can help you with. We really look forward coming back to Sardinia, and especially Anne`s homemade marmelade ;)
