Overview

The club was established in October 1948 by Fred Edinburgh, the idea came to him whilst climbing on the Matterhorn in the summer of that year. The club runs on a very informal basis. Although there will be many organised trips each year which will be advertised on the web forum, most trips are organised in the pub on Thursday. There are regular weekend trips to Scotland, the Lakes and Wales for walking, climbing and mountaineering. We meet at The Knavesmire on Albermarle Road at 10pm on a Thursday.
