My 3rd visit to abdet. Amazing ! I love this place. Perfect in every way. Tom is great, communication is excellent and he can't do enough to make your stay a memorable one. Thanks Tom ! I can see myself coming back year after year

Just returned form a fabulous week in Abdet - fully catered by Tom & Penny, even for me as a veggie! Great sport climbing at Guadalest and Abdet's local crag, big day out on the Bernier ridge and a day on the Penon. Super location for reaching numerous famous crags - can't recommend it highly enough!

Just got back from a fabulous week trail running - led by Tom -and a couple of days on Guadalest and local crags on easy routes. The rock is great with new bolts. We also took ourselves for a big day out on the Bernier ridge which was an easy mountaineering route, took us about 8 hours and required about 3 abseils - from fixed bolts - and a short eddy climb with a hand traverse at the top. The food at the livens village house was plentiful and healthy. Views from rooftop terraces are stunning. What a great week.

Just back from a week's climbing based in abdet. We had a fantastic time, Tom's accommodation is perfectly situated for access to loads of crags. The accommodation is really well equipped even down to washing liquid and Tom was kind enough to arrange for some basics as our flight got in late. The house has so much character and the terrace provides an amazing start and end to your day. Tom was really helpful from enquiry to the end of our stay. All in all a perfect place to stay. ..I could go on and I will be going back. Can't recommend it enough!

Just spent an excellent week doing a mixture of trail running and cycling (off and on road). Tom and Penny supplied full board with excellent wholesome food with an emphasis on natural ingredients. warning despite the 25 hr of exercise I put on weight! There were 9 guests with a similar interest. Tom is able to suggest ideas to suit for walkers runners cyclists rockclimbing and combine them with the local history and flora and fauna. accommodation was comfortable, roof terrace in the sun for after the days exercise. Tom is also excellent at taking photos / videos- so many evenings were spent reviewing the days events and stories. highly recommend - great way to get some fitness in and beat the UK winter

Just back from a week running, awesome place for running, walking, cycling and Rock climbing. The scenery is incredible, the home cooked meals very yummy, villa feel like home, warm, clean and very comfortable. As for the people just brilliant, Tom really does look after you. I will be heading back next year for sure.

Just back from a fantastic trail running week at Abdet. Amazing mountain scenery - Tom is an excellent & knowledgable guide. The days out were all so different, with lots to see, well guided and suited to all abilities. Amazing hospitality & fab home cooked meals every day by both Penny & Tom - we'll be back...

Excellent accommodation and location for exploring the Costa Blanca mountains. Particularly enjoyed spending time on the rear terrace (of no. 21), which was very private and caught the sun until quite late in the evening. Good value and would definitely recommend it, and am likely to return.

Excellent accommodation in a stunning setting for hikers and climbers. Cool mountain breezes and a cool ground floor make it comfortable even in a hot summer. Views from roof terrace absolutely outstanding; the best ever.

Great house, great location. The climbing in this part of Spain is fantastic and all crags are easily reached from Abdet. Will be venturing back for sure.

Thank you very much for a fantastic stay! The apartment had so much character, I had never expected the place to be so good with such amazing value. The village is just as lovely, the locals are welcoming and restaurants very good value for money too. Only a 10 minute walk to the nearest crag, which after travelling around the area, it turned out to be our favourite one. I would recommend this accommodation to anybody going to Costa Blanca! If we return we will definitely be staying there again! Ellie and friends!

Just got back from our fourth stay here. Perfect location and great house. Very convenient for exploring inland crags eg Montesa only 1 hr 15 mins via Alcoy, and El Cid via ferrata.
hollybank - 18/Feb/13

Lovely big house ideal for small or larger groups, or even just for two people. Pellet fire keeps the place nice and warm. Clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Perfect location for a climbing trip to the region. We stayed a week and climbed at 5 or so different locations, never travelling more than an hour by car but the best crag is just 10 mins down the road! House has loads of info about other activities in the region. Perfect place for all round activity holiday. Thanks Tom :-)
beefyhanes - 17/Jan/13

The ever increasing number and standard of local crags / routes, along with the high standard of accommodation make this an excellent playground for climbers and walkers alike. It's not my first visit and definitely not my last
Leofallon - 04/Dec/12

Perfect place for climbers and walkers to stay. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by mountains, with great views down the Guadalest Valley.
blackegg - 04/Nov/12

Very impressed with the accommodation, a lovely village and a small collection of crags 5 mins walk from the village. Tom was very helpful and I recommend it for walking, bike rides, gorge scrambling and climbing.
Mike Bradford - 17/Apr/12

Really enjoyed our stay there. The house is very nice and we love the rooftop terrace!! Will definitely stay there again...
tania - 17/Jun/11

Great place to stay, peace and quiet with crags within walking distance. Plenty of lovely cheap tapas in the village. Well located for other crags like toix and Echo valley as well as picturesque Gudalest. lots of helpful info in the villa on arrival, and thanks to Tom (the owner) for all his advice to our queries and requests for Topos during our stay
Sheila - 04/May/11

Great base for climbing and walking. Local barranco excellent for cooling down by jumping into the deep pools. Lovely house. Nice and quiet. Been twice now. Dave and Helen.
hollybank - 11/Apr/11

Great place to stay. Accommodation cosy and welcoming specially in winter with the fire roaring and electric heating in the bedrooms. Climbing on the nearby crags is great with a wide range of grades and routes.
Dylan Nells - 08/Mar/11

Great house, but it takes longer than 10 mins to the crag as there's a bar in between - coffee on the way in and cervezasan tapas on the way back, bit of a perfect set up really. And the view!!
andif - 11/Feb/11

very good accommodation in a beautiful quiet mountain village. Great local climbing (within 5 mins) as well as easy reach to the famous cliffs of Sella (1.5hrs) and the coast (1hr).
adamo - 22/Feb/10

Really great accommodation. Perfect for the local crags (10 mins walk from house), which are of good quality with limited traffic to date. Guadelest climbing only 15 mins in the car, and Calpe 40 mins. Enjoy!
Neo007 - 22/Oct/09

Great place for a holiday with fantastic climbing within walking distance. Get away from the crowds on the coast and enjoy the mountain environment in an unspoilt village. Lovely accomodation.
Dylan Nells - 07/Aug/08

We stayed in the 3 bedroom house, very cosey, great roof terrace, with a view to die for! The house had everything you could need except an hair dry'r (oer misses), parking near the bar, good tapas, but be careful of the Lamb (huge joint), will be back, lots to explore. Loved Abdet, so quiet. Stu
