Small, but absolutely great! It is ideal for beginners as they teach you everything you need to know included in the price of the session.
It is a really friendly atmosphere, and although it is small, the climbing abilities are endless! Unlike most indoor centers which are mainly about long stretches and brute force, Wellington is very technical climbing and is just like climbing a real rock!
It's definitely worth a visit!

I've climbed a lot at Wellington College (mainly with Reading University Mountaineering Club) and I love it. OK, Swindon and Aylesbury are the only other walls I've been to but I think the naturals at Wellington are just great and give so many possible permetaions for climbs that there is always more to try, at least for us mere mortals who struggle on a 6a. There is a grade sheet normally tacked behind the door, by the way. It is a shame that the opening times are so restricted and that it isn't exactly cheap, though (now £7.50 for casual use).

Although OK for beginners, I would consider this wall over priced, hot, greasy and unchallenging for those of us mildly above beginner level. Not really worth the time or effort.

I am not a serious climber, but do have a fair amount of experience. I have climbed here and although it is a small wall it is quite tough and a definate challenge for those of us who climb once in a blue moon!!!
