Overview

The Sport Martley climbing wall is a 10 metre high, professionally built wall by DR climbing ltd.
The wall is situated in a clean, well lit, heated, dedicated climbing room in a modern community use sports centre.
Over 50 routes on 15 panels. All routes are available to top rope and lead climbers. Most routes have in-situ quick draws.
Climbs on Slabs, vertical walls, overhangs, corners, ledges, tuffa's, chimney, crack line and most panels are heavily featured.
Routes are regularly changed by experienced route setters with grades from F3 to F7a.
We use holds from 4 manufactures so plenty of variety.
12 metre long traverse wall for training and warm ups.
4 metre high bouldering wall with set routes and moulded rock features.

Nationally qualified instructors teach short courses for adult beginners and experienced climbers wishing to develop new skills.
The wall provides regular children's classes, taster sessions and parties (booking essential).
Several local climbing clubs have regularly evening meetings.
CWA training and assessment courses are run for those wishing to train as instructors.
Sport Martley is an Awarding Centre (levels 1-4) for the National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme (NICAS).
Harnesses, equipment, shoes and helmets are available for hire.
The climbing wall has clean pleasant changing rooms, hot showers and plenty of coin operated lockers.

Reviews

Brilliant little wall. Interesting bouldering and top roping with cracks and features - good practice for real rock.

A nice little wall. The bouldering wall is small but challenging. Good range of difficulty on slabs and steeper walls. Very friendly and a good price. Well worth a visit.

Did competency course here just over a month ago. Friendly atmosphere all round, staff and users alike. Can be busy on a Wednesday, otherwise pretty quiet.
