It was built by Climbing Wall Solutions, who have been involved in the design and construction of climbing walls for over 15 years. The build took place throughout August 09 and it is built using texture coated birch plywood which allows for a variety of creative route settings.

There are 31 routes in an area of 75 square metres with 12 lines and grades from 4-7a+(All lines are both top rope and lead)

Not open every day of the week (Check their website for up-to-date details. I took my children (11 and 13) on a Sunday. For most of the time that we were there we had the wall almost to ourselves. The on-site instructor is helpful but not intrusive once he has assured himself that you know what you are doing. The wall has a good selection of vertical and overhanging routes that vary from relatively easy to fairly difficult making it a good workout for beginner and intermediate climbers. If you usually climb E grades, you might find it limited. rench system (with which I am not very familiar but which is not hard to figure out as long as you dont try too hard to "convert"it to a UK equivalent. Well worth the trip if you live in the Swindon area and either just need a kids activity or are a keen climber looking to fill a wet Sunday. I dont use indoorwalls a lot so it is hard to compare but I thought the prices very reasonable. They can also cater for kids groups (party idea?) and run beginner' lessons. All in all, a bit of a hidden gem! We will be back.
