Alauzon, La Roche-sur-le-Buis, Buis les Baronnies, DROME 26170
Prices vary according to accommodation and season.
Just 15 minutes from the town of Buis les Baronnies, Alauzon offers a wide range of accommodation from a cosy bunkhouse to modern studio. Set amongst thirty acres of private land, and surrounded by forest, Alauzon offers seclusion that is just a hop from the conveniences of town. Situated in the heart of the Haute Provence Guidebook (that one of the proprietors wrote), St. Julien and Baume Rousse are just twenty minutes away, and within thirty minutes' drive you will find enough rock for a lifetime. The north side of St Julien has three via ferrata which can be climbed year-round, even at the height of summer.
We are surrounded by forest trails, marked bike routes and some amazing hiking. We have a fleet of mountain bikes to rent at discounted rates for guests and are always happy to suggest a route to please.
The property has a heated outdoor pool (natural- no chlorine), table tennis, boules and mountain bike rental on site. There is a large playground for children and as we are far from any roads, children are free to explore.
The layout of the four properties at Alauzon enable us to accomodate any number of clients.
The Studio: 4 people
The Bunkhouse: 13 people
The Bergerie: 9 people
The Cabin in the Woods: 4 people
Alauzon is run by Audrey Seguy, formerly the managing director of The Castle climbing Centre in London, and Adrian Berry, coach at www.positiveclimbing.com and Rockfax author.
