Overview

The Evesham Leisure Centre climbing wall is 10 metre high, professionally built by Enterprise in 2009. The wall is situated in a dedicated climbing area in a modern leisure centre with clean, heated, well-lit and airy space. It has ample room for watching the climbing.
Over 50 single colour routes on 15 panels. All routes are available to top rope and lead climbers.
Most routes have in-situ quick draws.
Climb on slabs, vertical walls, overhangs, corners with a ledge and two chimneys.

The wall is divided into 3 areas:
* A competition overhang built using the Enterprise mosaic system,
* A heavily featured moulded rock section with many feature only climbs as well as routes with bolt on holds.
* Five panels of vertical and slab climbs, often with micro holds, volumes and bolt on features.

More than 15 metres of traversing is set at the base of the climbing wall.
We use holds from 4 manufactures so there is plenty of variety.
The wall has a regular program of route setting by experienced staff. Route grades typically range from F3 to F7a.

Nationally qualified instructors teach short courses for adult beginners and experienced climbers wishing to develop new skills.
The wall provides regular children's classes, taster sessions and parties (booking essential). Additionally, the climbing wall is an Awarding Centre (levels 1-2) for the National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme (NICAS).

Harnesses, equipment, shoes and helmets are available for hire.

The climbing wall has clean and pleasant changing rooms, hot showers and plenty of coin operated lockers.
Rivers Café is situated in the lobby for refreshments (daytime only) plus vending machines.

Just visited this wall tonight, for a relatively small wall the routes are varied and of good quality. The space is nice and the climbers are friendly. Def worth a visit if you live locally, there is much less rush hour traffic compared to getting all the way to the Warwick Uni wall or the Birmingham walls.

Good clean and varied wall. Good mix of low-to-mid range routes up to 6c+, never very busy and always friendly. Even things like the top ropes are always kept in good condition. Also, the overhanging walls that anywhere else would be reserved for lead climbing are usually roped which is a bonus. Only let down by the fact that it gets stupidly hot in there if it's a warm day as it's joined to the pool and is glass fronted. You'll sweat through a bag of chalk halfway up! On the flip side of course, it's amazing in there on cold days when other bigger centres are baltic.
