Restricted Access
Seals breed in Parliament House cave during the autumn months and climbers should take particular care not to disturb them during the time from late August to late October when the young seal pups can be eailsiy sepreated from their mothers with devastating consequences.
A large (huge!) rockfall occured at the back of Parliement House Cave in 2017 which affects some of the routes in the cave and further rockfalls are likley!
Rockfax Description
A counter-line to Big Gut. Start below a corner about 6m left of Big Gut that leads to the top of the same small tower.
1) 4b, 15m. Climb the corner to a ledge on the right.
2) 4c, 10m. Climb up the crack in the wall on the right of the belay to a groove. Follow this to a ledge on the left below a much longer more defined groove right of the final groove of Big Gut.
3) 4b, 25m. Climb to the right wall of the groove, via a slab right of the thin crack. From the ledge take the continuation of the groove on the left to the top. © Rockfax
