Rockfax Description
Millstone's answer to The Peapod is worth doing. Although it doesn't have the cachet of Curbar's classic, it is just as awkward. © Rockfax

Shame as I think I could have got it clean but ended up in a funny back palming position and couldn't reverse out of it, was fine when I bridged up after. Awkward groove climbing rather than chimneying.

Oh my giddy aunt. What a climb. It starts off pretty easily and lulls you into a false sense of security....then gets nasty! I think it is probably loads easier than Peapod though but be prepared for a bit of gritrash as you try to hold jams that aren't quite jams especially with freezing cold hands as even on a warm sunny day the rock just sapped every bit of heat from me! :D

A great climb if you like awkward gritstone thrashing. Looks okay from the ground, but the second half gets pretty nasty as the chimney determines to spit you out. Seconded after giving the lead to Tim. COuldn't commit which was annoying given there was sound gear above my head. Just couldn't see it relenting.

Harder than it first appeared, and more enjoyable. I successfully placed a BigBro 3 (green).

Took me a while to work out the crux. Nice route, even though it was a bit green at the top. Probably worth 1.5 stars!
