Rockfax Description
A good direct line. Start as for Rippemoff to the break, then continue direct up a thin crack in one long pitch. A bit loose but low in the grade. © Rockfax

Sloppy, went for a move and fell

In one big pitch. Stupidly fell off Rippemoff start (which I'd previously on-sighted) first go but did again from ground after. On-sight of top section, which has one stopper move (took a while to work out best sequence) but fairly steady otherwise, didn't see any new pegs but looks to have been cleaned in the last few years of loose rock and is now solid.

Great route. Probably only worth E2 now with the new peg on the top wall.

Nice route, more like E2.

Andy Peak 1 19/Apr/16 Lead O/S

A good climb with lots of gear. First limestone of the season

with difficulty, must do again prperly when fitter.

Felt more like E3 as seemed harder than other E2s - but was done as a warm up

Seconded this with about 10 rests as one of my first limestone routes about 6 years ago. Pleased to come back and lead it. Very easy for E3, no harder than most stoney E2s.

Very well protected - a solid E2. There are some loose rock in places. Good route.

E2 5c from the Rippemoff belay, but doing it all in one pitch then it may just be worth very bottom end E3

Crux is on the E1, pleasant 'loose rock management' headwall. Soft.
