As described in the 2010 CC guide, climbing at Symonds Yat is only permitted on the north-west facing cliffs - from The Introductory Rocks to the Final Zone inclusive.
Dates: 1 March to 30 June
Reason: Nesting Birds
Peregrine falcons have established a nest since 2019 on Strathdon, in the White Wall. Climbers should therefore avoid all routes from Motorway Madness to Night Nurse, inclusive, during the restricted period.
Rockfax Description
Two contrasting sections of climbing with the first half being slightly bold and the second pumpy. Start in the centre of the wall between Hole in the Wall and Peacock. Climb carefully to some stacked pegs and move up past them to a resting place and good gear. The steeper wall of good rough rock above leads past a peg to a small overhang and an easier finish. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
Start just left of Sweden. Steady climbing past stacked pegs leads to a resting place and good gear. The steeper wall above which appears to be composed of gritstone leads past a good peg to a small overhang and then an easy finish.
