Rockfax Description
II, 200m. Something of an Envers classic with sustained interest throughout.
1) 6a+. Climb a slab to the right of a steep crack (it is possible to climb the crack directly at 6b+) and then step left at the top of the slab and head up the superb hand-crack above.
2) 6a+. Go up the slab above the belay and follow it slightly rightwards to reach a layback crack. Climb this to the foot of a short wall.
3) 6a. Climb the wall followed by a corner.
4) 6a+. Continue up a series of excellent cracks and corners, passing a roof on the right before coming back left.
5) 5c. Carry on up the corner system, passing two overhangs on the way. These look intimidating and are exposed, but getting past them is actually pretty steady.
6) 5c. Slabbier (but still tricky) ground leads onto the summit of the Tour Verte. © Rockfax

markfairbank 23 Aug AltLd O/S Early start from the hut giving time to walk back down for the train (long day). Quite a tough little route, thuggy climbing and the roof on P4 was just plain hard - got it clean but not with much to spare. Overall not as good as Georges V.

ndraper1 17 Jun, 2015 - Superb cracks and flakes. Got stuck behind a party on pitch 5/6 in the corner, so climbed up the thin flakes adorning the left wall hoping to rejoin the corner up high. Sadly it wouldn't go and had to continue left to a rap point. Great fun and the perfect warm up. The top corner goes at E1/2 so the people said! Flakes were easier but a fall might not be pretty....
