Both piches have some interest well worth doing. Traverse on pitch 1 is good and good moves around roof on pitch 2. Quick one before the rain came.

Led both pitches, mixed turf conditions, some bomber, some not. Ice good in places but thin under roof at start of 2nd pitch, opted for the wee chimney with some hard moves. Traverse was cool, exposed but not that tricky. Lots of in situ gear but some of it's seen better days. Hardest III I've climbed but great fun and varied route.

Quite tough for a III: tricky moves low down & thin ice on the move left under the roof, but enough good gear when needed. Enjoyable.

The traverse is by far the best bit!

pretty loaded and the ice was thin in places which made for a entertaining day. Climbed as a 3 with Danny and Pete .

I led P1 : good hand traverse ( safe but exposed) then easy ramp and finally stepper ice (not in great nick, screws were a bit useless). Marcus led P2 : fine start on icy slab then very good finish

Beinn an dothaidh look d fairly plastered although there was a party swimming a digging at bottom of Fahrenheit... not sure how that went. Beinn dorain was better although route felt hard.... turf frozen but not much ice yet and no neve. Still feels early season mixed type conditions. Cracking route though.

Abbed off after first pitch as ice was falling apart. Varied and fun.

A full value route. Led p1 with the hand traverse. Plenty of interest on the long ice pitch 2 and two very awkward steps. Also led short pitch 3 at the top over the wee chockstone. A great route and full body experience on p1

The route was not in completely. It appeared to be a higher grade IV.

Fun wee route, worth doing if time/weather allows.

Lots of powder, lots of digging. Nippy for grade in those conditions

Willismorris 17/Jan/16 AltLd O/S

was there for messiah but a team was just starting as we arrived so rather than wait we decided to go for this! A lot of powder about but good solid ice and turf was there when you dig for it, pretty hard conditions so harder end of the grade today! all in all, a good day out!

Wild day, but got the best of the shelter.

Led p1 and the last moves at the top as Willie took an early belay to aid comms. Some good moves - hand traverse on p1 is great. Not great nick with powder, crusty snow and some resulting variable turf.
