Followed route as described by comment below. A bit slushy but solid turf where it mattered and nice ice at the top

Reasonable climbing with some turf and ice, SMC guide has a fairly poor description of the ruoute and as pointed out in and earlier comment starts 50m up the route... a better description may be, climb two pitches up a series of corners to a large roof, traverse ~30/40m right to and narrow ice gully, before heading up the broad gully. We did and alternative finish after the narrow ice gully which climbed a short mixed second at around tech 4.

Led p2. Pleasant climb especially p2, overall not that interesting!

Seemed in nice condition. Most of the interest is in the middle pitch. Not as good as Salamander Gully (but that does have an extra star).

Led 2nd pitch. First on the climb and deep pow made for hard going and lots of digging for gear. Bit of confusion setting off as SMC guide topo pic starts from bottom but description starts from face 50m up. Not much pro, made do with turf and screws. Good day out tho, in the sun all day.

Good ice in places but powder made for tough going

P1&2 Ice good for tools not so good for screws

Went for this after backing off Fahrenheit due to lack of ice, lots of powder about but the ice step is well formed and there's good snow if you look for it.

Led 1 and 3. Pleasant enough. A bit cruddy especially on the last bit. Consolation route as f 451 didn't look nice

Soloed the first pitch. Ice mostly rubbish and pretty sparse in places requiring a couple of deviations. Turf just frozen enough. Nice wee wander to start the season off though!

lovely sunny day for a climb. Snow a bit too soft, but a few nice short ice pitches and loads of frozen turf.

2 pitches, led p1 Nice combination of mixed, turf & ice.

Fiona Reid 20/Jan/13 AltLd O/S

What a difference a day makes, bomber turf, good ice and no queues. Done as 2 long pitches, led pitch 2 to the top and the gearless bit to the start of the route. Pitch 1 v. slightly harder, lovely ice on pitch 2.

Struggling to give this 1star but guess it would be better when more hard snow about lower down.

Soloed first pitch, Brannock led 2nd on the single half rope we'd remembered to bring.

Brannock 04/Dec/11 Lead O/S

With German Alex, surprised how much snow and ice there was around, snow on virtually all the walk up from Bridge of Orchy. Found the crag with thin layer of hoar frost, turf frozen and some ice, crag got noticeably whiter while we where there. Soled up to the ice pitch, this looked very thin so went up further left, then rejoined route to the top, good day. Nice looking crag as well, some of the other lines looked really good.

Good condition throughout, but started to drip in the lovely sunshine. Much of the route was steep snow, but there were two good (relatively short) ice pitches. Good fun.
