Relaxed start, and not at the top of the Grand Montets untill 11, but the approach is quite short and all down hill, but we passed a lot of white rock before the start of the route- just keep following the cairns. The climbing is excellent, as is the rock. Lots of in-situ protection, especially on the 5b pitches. The jams are sinker, at this rate I'll have no skin left by the end of the trip. The descent was made better by the kind lift workers who gave us a lift in their 4x4 to the mid-station.

Good fun, good steady climbing up to the ridge with plenty of bolts, but there were a couple missing hangers when we were there this year (Including the first belay) so worth taking a few small nuts/cams just incase.

Brilliant long route with a relatively sustained level of difficulty throughout to a cool summit. The 6a crux pitch is great but soft and the 5c pitches are probably harder, being more sustained rather than one move. Well worth a look!

Great day! Up on the first lift and got perfect weather. Led P3 and P4 then roughly in blocks of 2 each. Thought it had some tough sections for 5c but all really nice.

Bailed at the top of pitch 9 when a storm rolled in and dumped snow all over the hill. Lovely climbing up to there though and definitely worth seeking out - fully bolted up to where we got.

Basically fully equipped although I used one or two cams. Crux moves ~5c seems right. A cool way to this prominent summit. Fairly obvious way down to the SW although one long exposed chimney to down climb.
