Head west from the hut, up a path that follows the right hand side of the cwm. This becomes rocky and scree like and once this flattens out, head straight into the cwm to follow large red paint marks up the rock. An initial 20m slabby step leads into another path that trends left to climb the final few hundred metres on rock (continuing to trend left) to a col centrally at the back of the cwm. The rock is easy-angled and grade I to II.
A 10m scramble down from the col leads to the glacier and snow/ice up to 30 degrees is followed south to the summit.
