βeta: VS is for Very Sandbagged. I am not sure if anything fell but the entry to the chimney was bloody hard. The loose flake that everyone mentioned here is not there anymore.

Misha 25 Jul 2nd O/S Big boots and rucksack practice. Lou led on a scorching day. P1 bold, P2 insecure smearing up the groove then good holds through the overhang but the sack got a bit stuck. P3 Lou led to the top in one, finishing with a direct on Crackstone Rib.

Pixie-Andy 6 Aug, 2016 Lead O/S A fiendish and often bold route! The Overhanging Spear of Death awaits you on P2! Do NOT touch it. Your 2nd is safer hiding/belaying from behind the large block. P2 feels like HVS 5a, but VS 5a is fair, especially as there was no way i was going to pull, or even touch the spear of death. My 2nd touched the spear and this generated a spear of fear, as a the whole thing wobbled. I lowered him back to the ledge and we abseiled back to safety. P1 is not so bold VS seems fair, there are several small cams before the thread, although the key one is tricky to seat, the moves are steady 4c.

Steve Bartle 28 May, 2016 AltLd O/S Rock on p1 seemed chossy, so hande with care as the gear was only 'ok'. The top of the chimney ia prettt tough...careful and confident bridging is required. Aa someone else mentions, the pointy flake beneath the chockstone is starting to show signs of too many people desperately yarding on it, so be careful! A rewarding route though

victim of mathematics 19 Jun, 2011 Lead O/S Pitch 1 is a lot more than "fairly" bold - if you come off before you reach the thread, you'd probably hit the ground. Eek. Pitch 2 has a lot more bridging than any chimneying, but it's really nice.
