10m. R of the steep, cracked, brown wall taken by Capability Brown is a subsidiary brown wall. Start on the L side of this and make a hard and bold start first straight up then diagonally right to the obvious vertical slot. Place gear and move up a little; then from fingery sidepulls use small crimps to enable a long reach L to a good hold at the top of the small recess. Finish more easily. Sturdy saplings atop a short, grassy slope.
