July 2020 update: the National Trust has informed the BMC that climbing is not allowed - we are currently investigating the reasons behind this and seeing if a solution is possible which addresses their concerns whilst allowing climbing.

Alderley Edge is a somewhat esoteric venue, but can offer some half decent climbing on average rock, if you are prepared to investigate. The rock is conglomerate and sandstone and can be dirty in places. Unspoilt, quiet and never busy. Worth taking a soft brush and cleaning the climbs as you go.

Start hanging on two small crimps. use heal hooks and tricks to gain the slopper above and a small crimp with left hand. throw for a good rail right hand, gain an undercut and heal use this to drop onto a small crimp and lastly throw for the big out of sight jug. fin! this problem is located at the fare back of the wood where it drops down to the fenced off quarry and is the roof of the cave hidden.
