Restricted Access
Climbing has been banned on the routes in and around the caves of Cueva Pechina. A sign has been errected on the approach to the crag (saying something about Unesco world heritage status) and bolts have been removed from the cave.
Feb 19: The ban affects all routes in both caves and 2m either side.

βeta: Trying to marry up Rockfax to UKC and the fact that there a couple of new lines not in either, I think this is currently in the wrong place in the UKC list. This is immediately left of Bajoqueta (UKC), which is confusingly called Pechina Twenty Seven in Rockfax. There are two new routes to the left of it that aren’t currently on UKC, then Los Astropeats, Con Canas y a lo Loco, another new line not featured, and then La Pelota de Manterol on the right lip of the cave (rusty first bolt next to black streak). At least that’s as close as we could piece it together, happy to be told we’re wrong! | βeta? | |
