Please refrain from climbing outside

Due to the ongoing spread of Covid-19, please abstain from climbing outside.

At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving, but we feel this is no longer socially acceptable. You can read our statement here.

We have suspended the UKC Logbooks Top Ascents and Conditions pages and we will no longer accept ascents dated from 23rd March onwards. You can still upload your historic ascents.

20m. An interesting eliminate following Woodland Ecology to the gear. From here a series of balancy swaps on flakes allows the base of the inviting, unclimbed scoop to be reached. Exit the base of the scoop around the blunt rib at an obvious hold into the final metres of Woodland Ecology/Blood on the Shamrock arete.

Dave Warburton 30 Oct, 2011 Lead RP Some interesting moves and good positions. 'Driest' bit of rock on the crag today, but it was still wet and sketchy... Start was unnerving when wet! Previously soloed the top section too. http://davidwarburton-climbing.blogspot.com/2011/10/hawkcliffe-finally-lets-me-down.html
