Rockfax Description
Climb the steep arete and swing right to a steep crack (decent gear at last), layback strenuously up this to a rest. Step back left and follow a second crack to easier ground. © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
A good route up the blunt rib right of Cucumber Groove. Climb directly up the bulging start using a blunt spike which takes a (weighted) sling. Continue up to a very thin crack in a smooth wall. Swing R to another crack - good wires - and climb this strenuously to easier ground at a thin break. (It is possible at this point to sneak off left into finish of Cucumber Variant). Continue up direct to a crack just right - good wire - in a small alcove/roof. A long reach over this gains good holds and easier ground above

Alkis 14 Aug, 2016 Lead O/S Excellent! Did it as a warm up. Needless to say, a warm up it was not. Got a really good offset nut in before the thin crack. The big jug/spike is now hollow, so I wouldn't recommend putting a sling around it, a small nut in the cracks will have to suffice.
