Rockfax Description
(The Pedersen Ridge) This is the broken ridge which leads up to the southernmost summit of the Sørfjellet ridge in about seven pitches. Start left of a cave at the base of the ridge. Climb the ridge belaying along the way. The lower pitches are scrappy and not well protected, the upper section is better and harder. There are myriad variations and the last pitch is usually the crux.
Descent - Abseil into the grassy gully to the south and descend steeply under the Maurpillaren face. © Rockfax

This climb is completely different for everyone as there are so many routes you can choose when climbing the ridge line. The majority of routes however meet at the penultimate pitch. We completed this as 7 pitches.

We led this in 7 pitches, I led 2,4,7 and Marcus did 1,3,5,6. The first 2 pitches were very scrappy with little gear. The top 3 pitches were definitely harder than the severe it was given in the guidebook. Felt more like HS 4b. Insitu abseil at the top for the decent.
