Rockfax Description
The pencil-thin crack in the upper reaches of the wall right of Stormy Weather is a worthy companion on equally good rock.
Start 8m right of the edge of the wall.
Climb easily to a right-trending break at 4m and then move up leftwards to a very shallow ramp and some gear. Make a tricky move left from the ramp to arrive at a good flat hold (on Stormy Weather). Step right to below the pencil-thin crack and climb this, via a hard starting sequence, to the top. Stake belay 5m up the slope below a large block. © Rockfax

Mark made a very tidy job of this. Gear in the bottom half is quite spaced, so care is needed. Where the slab steepens, gear gets better. Slim fingers definitely help!

Few constrictions in the cracks so wires hard to place at times. Loads of gear though, straightforward at E2.

Glad I didn't go for the lead, some really hard moves. Top section was easier than it looks, but the middle was definitely harder.

A very stiff climb. An arthritic big toe hindered me and I popped off the crux. Way harder than any E1 I've been on....that said very good climbing and good gear for the leader for the hard section

Very good varied climb. The crux felt very hard for 5b.

Don't know if its a E2 5c as the Rockfax West country climbs guide states, but top of its grade as a E1.

Another excellent route with some very tricky not well protected moves! Easy start and a couple of stiff pulls and then some long reaches!
