Restricted Access

The stretch of cliffs between Dover and Kingsdown is owned by the National Trust and designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Special Area of Conservation. Care should be taken when topping out on routes from 'Global Warming' to 'White sail' not to dislodge or damage cliff top vegetation - there are a number of small juniper trees growing at and just below the cliff edge which are rare along the Dover Cliffs. For further details contact the NT office in Dover (01304) 207 326.

Seasonal Restrictions

Dates: 1 March to 31 July

Between 'The X Files' and 'Houdini' inclusively, climbing is restricted due to nesting peregrines between 1st March and 31st August

55m, 2 pitches. After bumbling up the easier angled bottom strata belay in the hole and become one with the cliff. P2 climbs the remains of the not so obvious hanging ramp trending left across the wall to just under the headwall. On 1st ascent the ramp was larger and more obvious until Wills had just got established on the headwall when the left hand side peeled off. Big brown patch on beach. Brown pants all round. - An excellent day's excursion, best approached with blinding hangover.

Dave Wills, Matt Kingsley 10/Oct/1993.
