Rockfax Description
An enjoyable route up the crack left of the flake of Beast from the Undergrowth. From the top of the crack pull over the small roof leftwards. Continue up the wall above keeping just left of the overlaps. Step left at the top. © Rockfax

The peg's not really there any more if we're honest, and the top is choss stuck in mud. Kind of ruins it after the nice moves lower down.

Great climbing at the start. Very mediocre after that. The peg is in extremely dubious condition and care is needed for the top out.

Found this tough but really good and satisfying to get back into the E3s. Start felt a bit bold and very wet but soft sandy landing. Then really sustained and the crux for me was past the peg when i was nearly off, but i think i used a crap sequence.

Did as an escape after backing off Minotaur, some nice moves but easy for 6a and needs a clean. Started up Beast as lower crack seeping lots...

nice climbing slightly spoilt by top section ie completely overgrown necessitating a traverse left to exit via top of Shape Up. low down this feels eliminate and v escapable - you can virtually step into Beast... at any point but it soon sorts itself out with some nice moves left under the roof. 'easy' for E3 with difficulties being short-lived, not sure if its really 6a.

Felt tougher than expected, but it's basically OK.

Heavily dogged!! The start is very stiff with the footholds being slimy and there not being much for your hands. Once past the initial crux the climbing begins to ease, by the top finishing in 4c moves. Nice apart from the start.
