120m, 2 pitches. North Cove, traverse north from the car park into the cove over looking Patterdale and Brothers Water, to the left handside of the cove their is a turfy buttress just left of Buttress Gully (II) that you can climb anywhere at II. Start 10m left of Buttress gully and 30m left of Rob's Icefall (II) and take the most difficult line up turfy steps of about 30m to a steep wall, take the steep wall on it's left by a steep tury groove with two tiny trees in it, it will take a peg at half height and this is the crux of the route (IV), above a warthog/bulldog belay will be needed, then follow grade II ground (60m)to the top belaying just below the rocky summit of Kirkstone Crag (again warthog/bulldog belay. Make sure you take lots of turfy protection and a few pegs aswell as 60m rope, we only got two small wires in on 2 pitches of 60m, plus another 10m after the final belay.
