Rockfax Description
A monster pitch. Increasingly difficult climbing gains a steep wall with a leaning borehole. Perplexing and strenuous moves up this access the easier but pumpy and rounded upper wall. © Rockfax

βeta: Really nice route, generally clean and ok rock. However right near the top all routes tend to suffer (to varying degrees) from rock which has tiny flaky edges coming off. However there are plenty of good foot holds and handholds to use, avoiding the poorer ones.

Kipper-Phil Smith 27 Sep, 2018 2nd Fell off the short sharp crux (small crimp on right high right foot reach round for layaway and then a slightly higher one to allow reach to larger hold) Found the rounded top really strenuous. Good lead by Alan

Mat Welsh 2 Sep, 2017 Lead O/S Nice tenuous moves right mark the beginning of a long tricky crux section followed by questing to the chains on flat / rounded slopers to the very top of the wall. Excellent !

Luke Owens 12 Oct, 2014 Lead dog Terminal rope drag pulled me off the end of the crux on the onsight. I've had to leave a Krab near the top to lower off as the rope drag was too much and it went dark. I'll be back to get the krab when I can so don't nick it please! Part of the crux is protected with a peg, the bolts are looking pretty old now too. I'll get around to rebolting this sometime.

Nick Sherring 3 Aug, 2014 Lead dog Would be a really good line and an adventure, spoilt somewhat by loose rock and some chossy sections. Pulled off two big pieces that was a bit disturbing and not confidence inspiringfor the run-out sections. Shame as good moves and nice technical crux.
