UKC

250m, 10 pitches. 'La plus belle des Vuardes' - this is a magnificent, classic route - a nice test piece if you are climbing around the 6c level. As the name implies, it is quite vertiginous! Very well equipped, however, there is a high degree of 'obligation' around 6b+ and the climbing is very technical, for the most part, rather than athletic. While the crux sections are mainly compact slab climbing on small holds, the climbing is very varied, with a burly dihedral, plenty of traversing, gouttes d'eau and several bouldery overhangs. For these reasons it is great value, relying on 'bonne lecture' to grab the prize of an onsight.
