Reaver2k 19 Dec, 2007 2nd O/S Matt led the VDiff next to it and I fancied abit more of a challenge, I didn't really fancy anything below HVS in this quarry to lead, and unfortunately I dont lead HVS! Haha. He spent a long time trying to find gear all the way up, suprising as I seem to remember him as quite quick to spot gear! He managed a grand total of 1 piece, 3/4 of the way up! Ohwell, didnt seem to find it too hard! I followed up this VS next to the corner, with the blunt arete. Easy all the way up, until you reach the blunt arete. Move seemed harder than your average VS, avoided the groove to the right and tried to go directly up the blank face, using the blunt arete on my right. Tried once, had to reverse it or I would have peeled off. Looked for better smears, found a couple of poor ones and stepped up relatively quickly to reach the top break. Nice. Extremely cold hands, totally numb by the top but we ran down, into the sun, and ate sandwiches whilst catching up on our lives, looking over suprise view.
