Access Banned
The landowner has informed the BMC that they do not permit climbing on the sections of crag which are not mapped as open access (i.e. the whole crag with the exception of the West Crag). The area contains well used public footpaths (which pass through the crags), but deer stalking takes place between November and March. If you are asked to leave by Estate representatives during this period it woud be wise to do so. Please report any access difficulties to the BMC.
A fun link up on the Slug - great as part of a warm up or if working the final sequence for Low Blow. Begin from sitting under The Flakes. Move up and right, climbing around the middle flake to get to the jugs 2/3 of the way up The Flakes. Now, down climb The Flakes, traverse left into Golden Bicep (as for Low Blow) and ascend this. Finish by sitting on the top, telling all and sundry how great you are ;-)
