As described in the 2010 CC guide, climbing at Symonds Yat is only permitted on the north-west facing cliffs - from The Introductory Rocks to the Final Zone inclusive.
Dates: 1 March to 30 June
Reason: Nesting Birds
Peregrine falcons have established a nest since 2019 on Strathdon, in the White Wall. Climbers should therefore avoid all routes from Motorway Madness to Night Nurse, inclusive, during the restricted period.
22nd SAS Climbing Group Hereford.

βeta: Beware. The block you gibbon on is now very detached. I have visited this route many times in the last 15 years and I noticed it had moved 5 years ago (change of size of protection). Now you can fit more than a fist behind it and with my camera poking in it became obvious that you can see daylight almost all the way round. Block is also hollow. No good for protection and dubious to swing on. | βeta? | |
