arose 7 Jul, 2018 AltLd Why is no-one mentioning how hard the roof is? After a summer of climbing lots of E2's and 3's I still fell off this.

jamesgr87 7 Jul, 2018 AltLd O/S Led P1 then spent ages route finding on P3&4. Rock a little dirty and loose and top pitches weren't the best so just abbed off from P5. Didn't think that good a route except roof pitch but maybe have been spoilt by a week of great climbing!

MrRiley 1 Jul, 2018 AltLd O/S Belter of a day! Bone dry, great climbing. The roof was the definite highlight and not too hard, but all pitches have good interesting climbing on them. Got lost immediately and ended up on the first pitch of Waterkelpie Wall requiring a bonus traverse to get us back on track. Even the "easy" pitches were quite challenging where slight deviations off the ideal line can make the climbing tricky. http://www.mistymountainhop.net/2018/07/feeding-the-king-rat-on-creag-an-dubh-loch/

davkeo 15 Jun, 2018 AltLd dnf Looked wet on initial inspection & so we checked out plan B & C which were very wet. Decided to give it a go anyway but rain hit on p3 so Anni stopped short below the 3rd belay & we abbed from there. Nice Climbing in spite of the wetness & wud have been good to finish it out. Impressive crag with a really remote feel. I led p1&2. P1 harder than 4b. Cold & windy day.

onlyfoddington 1 Jun, 2017 2nd I led pitch 3/4, and by the time that I seconded pitch 5 the rain had arrived. First pitch was harder than expected. I managed the crux move ok on pitch 2, but was glad to have seen how Ian and Pete had done it (probably easier for those of us with long legs). Ended up veering on to the 5b pitch of Waterkelpie Wall for our 4th (the 5th) pitch. I had to resort to aid to at one point as the rock quickly lost all friction, which made for an interesting final couple of pitches.

Chris wilson 21 Jul, 2013 Lead We were lucky the top section of the climb was bone dry in the current heat wave. I thought the climbing on the upper section on pitches 4,5 and 6 was excellent with interesting climbing and where the correct and easiest line is not always obvious.

Captain Solo 8 Jul, 2013 AltLd Managed to free the crux on second, not sure if I could have done it on lead though. More excellent climbing all the way to the top with the 4c pitch having some great moves. The final route on a perfect trip to a long sought after destination.
