Rockfax Description
Devious and polished too - not one for damp conditions. From the groove skirt the roof right then left. Move onto the arete and climb into the niche above - the Crow's Nest. Climb the wall above, using the Coffin to get started. © Rockfax

Got up to the headwall and was handed my humble pie. Lowered down on my gear. One to go back to when it's not as damp and humid.

Might have been nice but the millions of midges ruined the experience

The Battle continues, this time fully decked out from the first move, but then lead clean to the top. The war is not won with this one yet!

Felt as hard as last time, pumpy and hard at the start then try and get to the top before the forearms fail!

Very difficult start, middle alright but awkward, end technical and I'd imagine bold on lead. At least HVS 5a.

First ever lead fall! Very hard start, felt more like 5a/5b. Middle section is fairly straight forward 4c but the pump from the start remains. the top wall is hard again (5a), especially when tired, fell off one move from top. the holds just seem to be polished when you need them. I have climbed a few HVS 5a and this felt harder!

Hard sustained climb. Tricky, awkward start. Sustained throughout, quite technical.
