Rockfax Description
Devious and polished too - not one for damp conditions. From the groove skirt the roof right then left. Move onto the arete and climb into the niche above - the Crow's Nest. Climb the wall above, using the Coffin to get started. © Rockfax

Blubert 14 May TR O/S Ludicrous to think this was given HS in the 1983 guide. Perhaps the amount of polish has substantially increased the tech grade but it feels at least HVS 5b - and conditions were perfect. Yes the hardest move is low down, but it's not done and dusted even then

Dave Richards 16 Aug, 2012 2nd dog Very difficult start, middle alright but awkward, end technical and I'd imagine bold on lead. At least HVS 5a.

sjbrook 16 Aug, 2012 Lead dog First ever lead fall! Very hard start, felt more like 5a/5b. Middle section is fairly straight forward 4c but the pump from the start remains. the top wall is hard again (5a), especially when tired, fell off one move from top. the holds just seem to be polished when you need them. I have climbed a few HVS 5a and this felt harder!
