18m. Scramble up to the leftwards-trending groove. Balance up, until several small wires can be placed in a high crack. A perplexing sequence in an exposed position gains the welcome relief of good holds on the arete. Pass a sloping ledge and continue directly up the continuation arete to the ledge below the roof. Step right and pull leftwards over the roof to a fine finishing position on the prow.

βeta: Superb climbing up the very edge of the arete, but woeful gear! Might be possible to get a runner in the corner crack which would be better than nothing?
