easy bottom up to steep upper cracks above the ramp. choice of L or R.... I went L which was v steep and strenuous for VD (!), but well protected.

Started by climbing ramp with intention of heading up the crack. After a few different attempts I decided that was not for me on this day so continued up the ramp route option. Crack was tricky imo and much higher than the VD it is given.

Recommended finish up the Y crack is much harder than the ramp if you take the left branch - probably 4b

Took the Y-crack variation, following the right hand crack. Intimidating, but VDiff probably right once you commit, well worth a star. Left crack looked a lot harder, original finish looked more vegatabled.

Took the alternate route up the crack. Was probably HS but good moves.

Followed the description in the guidebook and took the right-hand branch of the Y-crack - the difficulties are short lived but it was definitely more like HS 4b than VDiff! Debbie led up to the steepening at the Y-branch, brought me up and I led to the top - she made the right decision.
