Please refrain from climbing outside

Due to the ongoing spread of Covid-19, please abstain from climbing outside.

At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving, but we feel this is no longer socially acceptable. You can read our statement here.

We have suspended the UKC Logbooks Top Ascents and Conditions pages and we will no longer accept ascents dated from 23rd March onwards. You can still upload your historic ascents.

90m. S1/2 6b
A long sea level traverse of the whole crag from left to right with a bit of walking in the middle.
Start at mid tide by descending a chimney 15m east of the zawn. Traverse the wall rightwards, quite high (S1/2) until a horizontal crack enable you to drop downwards and enter the cave.
Continue on a low line on smooth rock and onwards to pass beneath Beers, Fears and Uni Years and gain a small depression beyond. Duck around the arete and make a difficult pumpy sequence close to the water (S0 6b/+) to gain a ramp. Walk across this and shuffle around the arete at its end. Cross the wall beyond and drop down to walk across rocks to a final tricky impass. Here, bouldery moves traverse a slopey lip and bulging rock beyond (S1/2 6b) to gain a short wall which is easily climbed into the Northern Quarry. It is possible to solo out of the quarry on its far left hand side at about VD standard.
